Do I need an account to place an order?
No. You can check out as a guest or create a Brakespeed account. Creating an account makes it easier to:
- Save your shipping details for faster checkout next time
- View past orders and order status in one place
- Create and manage wish lists for vehicles or future projects
You can create an account or sign in through the links in the site header or on the checkout gate page.
How do I place an order on Brakespeed?
Ordering is simple:
- Browse by department, brand or category and add the parts you need to your cart
- Review your cart to confirm quantities, vehicle, and pricing
- Proceed to checkout and enter your shipping and payment details
- Confirm your order on the final review page and submit
You will receive an order confirmation email with your order number right after a successful purchase.
Can I change or cancel my order after it is placed?
We start processing orders quickly so that parts ship as fast as possible. If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as you can through the Contact Us page and include your order number.
If the order has already shipped, we may not be able to modify it. In that case, you may still be able to return eligible items under our Return and Refund Policy once they arrive.
What payment methods do you accept?
Brakespeed uses a secure checkout powered by Shopify. We accept major payment methods such as:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major credit or debit cards
- Shop Pay and other supported digital wallets (for example Apple Pay or Google Pay when available)
- PayPal in supported regions
The exact payment options displayed may depend on your location and device. Your card is typically charged when the order is confirmed at checkout.
Where do you ship?
Brakespeed currently ships within the United States.
- Standard flat rate ground and small parcel shipping applies to the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states).
- Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may require additional charges because our flat rate program does not apply there.
We do not offer international shipping directly from the website at this time.

How much is shipping?
We use a flat rate program for most ground and small parcel shipments within the contiguous United States. Shipping is based on your order value instead of weight or distance for qualifying orders.
Your exact shipping cost is shown during checkout before you confirm your order. Oversized or freight shipments may require a custom quote.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on your location and the carrier. For most standard ground shipments within the contiguous United States, typical transit times are about 1 to 5 business days after the order ships.
Once your order leaves the warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link so you can follow the shipment in real time.
Do you offer expedited or special shipping options?
For most orders we use efficient ground and small parcel services from major carriers (such as UPS, FedEx or USPS). If you need a different shipping method or a special arrangement:
- Contact us with your required delivery date and shipping address
- We can review options and provide available UPS, USPS or FedEx services and estimated rates
Availability of special shipping options depends on the parts ordered and the warehouse or supplier that will ship them.
My tracking shows delivered but I did not receive the package.
If tracking shows your package as delivered but you do not see it:
- Check with household members or neighbors who may have accepted the package
- Look around porches, side doors and other usual drop-off locations
- Check directly with your local carrier office using the tracking number
If the package still cannot be found after these checks, contact us with your order number and tracking information. We will work with the carrier and our warehouse partners to investigate.
What is your return period?
For most parts, new and unused items can be returned within up to 90 days from the date you received them, as long as:
- The item has not been installed or used
- The item is in its original condition and original packaging
- The item does not have an SFI date or is not otherwise restricted by manufacturer policy
All returns must be inspected and approved before a refund or store credit is issued.
Certain special order, non-stock or customized products may be non-returnable. Full details are in our Return and Refund Policy.
How do I request a return or exchange?
To request a return:
- Go to our Order Status & Returns page from the site menu
- Click the “Return or exchange items” button
- Fill in the requested order information and reason for return
- Submit your request so our team can review it
We manually review each request to confirm eligibility under our policy. If approved, you will receive instructions for returning the item and any additional steps that may be required.
Which items cannot be returned?
Some products are not returnable unless there is a valid warranty issue. Examples include:
- Items that show signs of being installed, used, modified or damaged after delivery
- Custom-ordered or personalized items
- Hazardous materials (such as certain chemicals or batteries), where restricted by law or carrier rules
- Opened videos, software or other copyrighted media
- Wheel and tire packages that have already been mounted
- Special order or non-stock items where the manufacturer or supplier does not accept returns
Any item returned in a non-resalable condition may be rejected or may be subject to additional handling fees.
Who pays for return shipping?
In most cases, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
If you prefer, we can often provide a pre-paid return label and deduct the cost of that label from your refund or store credit. The exact approach may depend on the reason for the return and the policies of the manufacturer or supplier that shipped the part.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your returned items arrive at the warehouse, they must be checked in and inspected. After inspection:
- Approved returns are credited back to your original payment method or issued as store credit
- This process usually takes a few business days after the item is received, though it can take longer during very busy periods
Your bank or card issuer may also need extra time to post the credit to your account after we process it.
How are warranty claims handled?
Warranty coverage is based on the policies of each manufacturer or supplier. In practice:
- Some manufacturers prefer to handle warranty claims directly with customers
- Others ask that warranty issues be handled through Brakespeed and our warehouse partners
If you have an issue after installation:
- Contact us with your order number and a clear description of the problem
- Include photos or other documentation that shows the issue, if possible
We will let you know if the claim should go through us or directly to the manufacturer and guide you on the next steps.
What if my order arrives damaged, incorrect or with missing parts?
Please contact us as soon as you notice any problem and keep all original packaging. To help us resolve the issue quickly:
- Take clear photos of the outer box, inner packaging and the parts received
- Note any shipping damage, missing items or wrong part numbers
- Include your order number and the photos when you contact support
We will work with the carrier and supplier to start a claim and arrange for a replacement or other solution where appropriate.
How can I confirm that a part fits my vehicle?
Many of our parts are listed by application or fitment notes. Before ordering, we recommend:
- Checking the product description carefully for fitment details and restrictions
- Comparing manufacturer part numbers with the parts on your vehicle or your service documentation
- Contacting us with your vehicle details if you are unsure
When available, you can also use the “Ask about this product” option on product pages to get fitment help from our team before you buy.
Are your parts new and genuine?
Yes. Brakespeed supplies new parts from established aftermarket and OEM brands through reputable warehouse partners. We do not sell used or salvaged parts.
Do you offer both OEM replacement and performance parts?
We stock and source a wide range of OEM replacement parts and performance and racing components across categories such as:
- Brakes, suspension, steering and chassis components
- Engine, intake, exhaust and ignition parts
- Safety equipment, tools, fluids and more
If you cannot find a specific part on the website, reach out to us with the brand and part number and we may be able to source it.
Is inventory live and up to date?
Our catalog is driven by warehouse data feeds and is regularly updated with available inventory. In rare cases there may be timing differences between inventory feeds and actual stock levels.
If an item is found to be out of stock after you place an order, we will contact you with options such as backorder, alternative parts or a refund.
Is your checkout secure?
Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, which uses industry-standard encryption to protect payment details. Your payment information is processed through secure payment gateways and is not stored in plain text by Brakespeed.

Do you charge sales tax?
Any applicable sales tax is calculated automatically during checkout based on your shipping address and current tax rules. These rules can vary by state and locality in the United States.
The tax amount is shown separately on the checkout page before you confirm your order.
